Extracted from the pulp of the avocado fruit, this oil is renowned for its skin-softening and protective properties. 🌿 Botanical Information:

• Origin: The avocado, native to Central America, belongs to the Lauraceae family. It is now widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions, such as Kenya, with over 200 known varieties.
• Tree Characteristics: The avocado tree grows between 5 to 15 meters tall, with a gray, fissured bark and a broad, dense canopy. Its leaves are evergreen, simple, oval, and glossy dark green. The tree produces a large brown seed surrounded by the fruit, from which the oil is extracted. The pulp, making up 60-75% of the fruit, contains a high oil content (5-30%, depending on the variety), while the seed contains less than 2% oil.

• Extraction Process: Avocados are sorted, cleaned, and chilled for 7 days. After a second wash, the skin and seed are separated from the pulp, which is then crushed and mixed. The oil is extracted using a centrifuge press and is decanted at 15°C.
