Unveiling the Finest with Château de Crans
The Beginning
At AlpsDiscovery, our mission is to bring the world's finest products to our customers. This journey of excellence led us to the remarkable Château de Crans, a vineyard that perfectly aligns with our values of quality and sustainability.
Discovering Excellence
Château de Crans offers wines that capture the essence of Swiss terroir. The vineyard is situated in Crans-près-Céligny, overlooking Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, covering a total area of 12.7 hectares. This unique location provides diverse soil types that are ideal for cultivating a variety of grape species.
Embracing Tradition
Under the guidance of Gilles Pilloud, Château de Crans uses biodynamic methods to ensure every wine is a celebration of nature’s bounty. Gilles, a seasoned viticulturist with a background in music, infuses his sensitivity and dedication into every bottle. Since 2007, he has progressively applied biodynamic practices, which involve minimal intervention and a deep respect for the natural growth processes of the vines.
The Terroir Collection
The Terroir Collection features typical regional grape varieties such as Chasselas and Gamay, aged primarily in tanks to preserve their freshness and distinct character. Highlights include:
- Chasselas: A light, refreshing white wine.
- Gamay: A vibrant red wine with fruity notes.
- Pinot Noir: A delicate red with complex flavors.
The Antoine Saladin Collection
Named after the founder of Château de Crans, the Antoine Saladin Collection offers refined and elegant wines. These include aromatic whites and reds aged in oak barrels, showcasing the vineyard’s high-end selections.
Specialty Wines and Spirits
Château de Crans also produces a variety of specialty wines and spirits, such as:
- Gewürztraminer: An aromatic white wine.
- Pinot Blanc Barrique: A white aged in oak barrels.
- Passum: A sweet wine.
- Grappa and Cragnac: Premium spirits.
The Château de Crans Difference
Château de Crans is not just about producing wine; it's about creating an experience. The vineyard's diverse soils allow each grape variety to express its full potential. Sandy soils on slopes are ideal for aromatic white wines, while clay-limestone soils are perfect for Chasselas, imparting it with mineral notes. Gravelly soils foster robust red wines with excellent structure and fruitiness.

Our journey with Château de Crans is about more than wine; it’s about bringing unique stories and unparalleled quality to our customers. Together, we open new horizons, offering exceptional wines that reflect our shared dedication to excellence.
