What’s Wrong with Scoot and Ride? We Tested Their Scooters, and Here’s the Shocking Result!

When you're a father of many kids like me, there's one golden rule: "If something can go wrong, it definitely will." And that’s why finding something as sturdy as my nerves for my children became a real mission. That’s how I stumbled upon Scoot and Ride – a brand that perfectly combined my desire for a healthy lifestyle with the need to find something not just cool, but reliable for my kids.

How I discovered the brand?
One day, after yet another sports event where all the kids refused to use their usual scooters, I began searching for alternatives. On social media and forums, people were raving about Scoot and Ride, but I thought, “It can’t be that perfect!” Then I found their website – minimalist, but with so many colors that even my youngest, who’s just learning to distinguish colors, would have said, “Wow!”

A Little About This Brand
Founded in Austria, Scoot and Ride was born from a dream to make moving around as simple for kids as it is for adults. What’s interesting is that their products grow with the kids! And this is not just a metaphor – their models transform from scooters to balance bikes and back. This is especially convenient for parents like me, who live by the principle “one for all and all for one.”

The brand’s main products are scooters and balance bikes, designed for kids aged 1 to 5 years. They are so practical that even I wondered why they don’t make such versatile things for adults. Imagine: you ride a balance bike to work, then transform it into a scooter to get to the office faster. A dream!

Why I bought their products?
Well, here it is – transformers among children's vehicles! What else could convince a parent with limited space in the apartment and unlimited children’s enthusiasm? Plus, with these products, kids fall less – or at least, they fall more gracefully, which is important when you’re caring for both health and style.

My Children TESTED The Scooters and Here are The Results:
We bought the Highwaykick 1 models for the younger ones and the Highwaykick 3 for the older ones. I’ll start with honesty: after the first week of use, the kids literally wouldn’t let go of them. I had to implement “riding time limits” (yes, that’s a real thing in our family). Durability? I can confirm – even after a few epic falls down the hill (thanks to our eldest), the scooters still look like new.

What we liked:

  • Transformation:

A scooter that can turn into a balance bike and back – it’s a parent’s dream.

  • Safety:

Scoot and Ride puts a lot of emphasis on stability and ergonomics, so even our youngest child had no problem mastering her scooter.

  • Design:

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind riding one myself if they made an adult version.

  • Colors:

These aren’t just colors – they’re magnets for kids. Each of my kids picked their favorite, and now they race around like a little rainbow army.

 What we didn’t like:
It’s hard to find faults, but I’ll admit: some models could be a bit lighter, especially for the younger kids. The challenge comes when they try to lift and move them around. But that’s a minor issue.

 My kids’ feedback:
- Alessia (5 years old): “I love this scooter because it’s so fast and comfy! And I love my green color, it looks like a frog!”
- Lorenzo (3 years old): “It’s like a car but without an engine. Dad says I’ll ride even faster when I grow up!”
- Matteo (2 years old): (after a small fall) “That was fun! Let’s do it again!”

My Fatal Debut on a Children`s Scooter:
Well, one day I decided to try riding the Highwaykick 3 myself. Feeling young and bold, I stepped on the scooter and... took off. Well, "took off" – I got stuck in the narrow hallway between the kids' toys. The kids laughed for half a day, and now I know that parental pride and kids' scooters don’t mix well.

Therefore Scoot and Ride is exactly what you need for active kids and parents. If you’re looking for something versatile, stylish, and safe, this is the brand. I’m confident that with these “wheeled friends,” my kids' healthy lifestyle is rolling smoothly, and I can focus on something else – like avoiding another attempt to ride the scooter!
