There it was, between the classic toy cars and stuffed bears – a display of wooden toys from the Spielba brand. What caught my attention the most was their simplicity and, at the same time, thoughtful design. No loud plastic or garish colors – just natural wood and eco-friendly paints. I immediately thought, "This is exactly what my son needs!"

Of course, I didn’t hesitate for long and bought a few toys for my son: a beautiful stacking ring pyramid and a set of small wooden animals. And here’s where the first surprising moment occurred – when I took these toys out of the store, another mom came running over to ask me where I got them! Could it be that not only eco-friendliness is in trend now, but also aesthetic things like this?

When I first saw Spielba’s toys, I was pleasantly surprised by their quality. These aren’t just wooden toys – they’re little works of art, meticulously polished and coated with eco-friendly, water-based paints. They have an incredibly pleasant texture – smooth, durable but not heavy, which is very important for little hands. Plus, I don’t have to worry when my son, as he often does, decides to “taste test” them, knowing that all materials are safe and non-toxic.

As for the wooden animals, they’ve become his constant companions during playtime. What I liked about them is that they aren’t just abstract shapes, but they have well-recognized forms and pleasing proportions. Some even resemble characters from children’s books, which sparks my son’s creativity – he gives them names and invents stories for them. Importantly, they’re sturdy enough – they’ve already survived a few drops and “accidents” during play but remained intact.
I was also pleased with the packaging. It’s minimalistic, without unnecessary plastic elements, which further highlights the eco-friendliness of the brand. This only strengthened my desire to support such manufacturers. And when my son and I opened the box together, he was thrilled, as if he sensed there was something special inside.

Another small downside is that the assortment isn’t very large yet. I’d love to see more variety, especially sets that interact with each other so the child can play with different themes. But I’m confident this will change over time, as brands like these usually expand their product lines.
